I normally research things to death before buying (hence appreciating the need for reviews) but failed to do so for this item.
Its terry cloth on one side and a water resistant on the other. My complaints about it are the noise it can make (not too bad but may affect some people) and more importantly, the sides are simply too short to fit an average sized mattress. I prewashed before using them to get rid of some of the stiffness of the water proof covering (didn't work that well) and not sure if it shrunk a little in the wash. It will fit thinner mattresses but not regular sized ones.
It does the job but do consider all other factors.
did not think it would do what it says - as it was quite thin looking but to my suprise it has!
however it is quite thin, tacky and cheap looking ; feeling!
