Bought one of these after suffering with chillblanes and inability to use hot water bottles. The blanket installed easily and works very well. The 6 heat settings allow for every taste and ambient temperature and the one hour timeout is a very useful feature. The only minus is the connector which attaches on the edge of the blanket and is uncomfortable if, like me, you lie on the edge of the bed. It could so easily have been designed to hang down the side of the mattress to avoid this problem.
I purchased this heated mattress cover, as a replacement for an ageing electric blanket. Since then, the weather has been unusually warm, so the cover has been switched on for short periods only. However, it seems to work well and heats up quickly. It also serves as a comfortable mattress topper and is a perfect fit for a double mattress.
My only adverse criticism relates to the electrical connections and power leads. The two connector blocks are sandwiched between the blanket and the mattress, at shoulder height on both sides of the blanket. It would be better, if the connectors were in a concealed location at the top of the blanket, farther from the sleeping area.
The electric leads between the blanket and the control units are too short. And if you want to place the control units on bedside cabinets, the switches (and switch markings) face away from you, whilst you are in the bed.
